Nube iO EMS solution using Haystack Tagging for Harbord Diggers Freshwater

About Nube iO Nube iO is an end-to-end data extraction solution enabling business owners to reduce trade servicing costs, improve comfort conditions and save energy by reducing cost barriers in commercial buildings. Our key focus includes:  Data extraction: Nube iO provides a ‘data pipe’ from the building to the cloud. All building data is seamlessly integrated into one system, which becomes available through cloud applications Integration: Nube iO’s controller can communicate in a number of…

Energy Management System (EMS) for Student Accommodation

Nube iO has implemented an Energy Management System (EMS) for a large residential application. The facility has 586 sub-tenancies, as well as existing Building Management System (BMS) infrastructure. The existing BMS had connection to each electrical meter, however, the system was not able to report on individual consumption or remotely visualise asset information.  Nube iO has used the Edge iO 28 controller, that is able to integrate with and pull data from the existing BMS…

Nube iO is powered by Node-Red

Open source software is software with a source code that is accessible to the public. This means that people can modify parts of the software for their own use, and contribute back to the origins of the software. Node Red is a visual programming tool utilising open source software which allows developers and installers to connect and interface with their software and hardware for new projects. Nube iO uses Node-Red to provide an easy to…

Why Nube iO Uses LoRa

Through the rise of the Internet of Things (IoT), devices can now easily communicate between each other and the cloud using a number of protocols. Increasingly, these devices are evolving to be wireless, low-power and battery operated. The number of these devices is growing exponentially. In fact, the number of IoT devices is expected to grow from 26.66 billion in 2019 to over 75 billion by 2025. Weak range and penetration of existing protocols means…

Figtree Grove – Micro Edge Deployment For Asset Monitoring

Nube iO recently deployed our new Micro Edge sensors into Figtree Grove Shopping Centre.  Problem Figtree Grove has multiple small tenancies within a larger building that use varying levels of water. Their existing BMS provided a limited understanding of water usage specific to each premises. Moreover, many of the water meters are located in very hard to access locations, making monitoring and maintenance more difficult. Solution Nube iO deployed Micro Edge devices for each water meter…

Nube iO Collaborates with the Smart Infrastructure Facility and Devika

Nube iO recently partnered with the University of Wollongong’s SMART Infrastructure Facility and Devika to produce a 3D virtual model of the digital living lab utilising Nube iO’s smart sensors. The collaboration involved installing 120 of our smart sensor Droplets into each room in the building, to monitor features of the built environment in real time such as temperature, humidity, light and motion. The droplet is a LoRa-enabled battery-operated environmental sensor, built to address the…
